Forever
I'll Worship at Your Throne
Whisper my own love song
With all my heart I'll sing
For You my Dad and King
I'll live for all my days
To Put a smile on Your face
And when we finally meet
It'll be for eternity
And Oh how wide You open up Your arms
When I need Your love
And how far You would come
If ever I was lost
And You said that all You feel for me
Is undying love
That You showed me through the cross
I'll worship You my God
I'll worship You my God
I love You
I love You
Forever I will sing
Forever I will be with You
Be with You
Shortly after opening my eyes to start my day, the very first song that popped into my head is this song. Hillsong has two versions of this song. The one that I favor is the one off their United Live "Best Friend" album (click on the "Listen Now" link to sample tracks). Both are great songs but I like the vocals slightly better on the Best Friend album. Very catchy, soft and worshippy song. Other songs that I love on this album are "Saving Grace", "Stronger Than", "Jesus Generation". Great stuff.
At Sunday morning service, my pastor told us a story that I'd like to share with you (and log onto my blog..hehe). It's the famous story of The Ginger Bread Man..

I remember the story of the Ginger Bread man
I don't know where I've learned it but
when I was a child, I heard this story about this little girl
and she was baking ginger bread cookies with her mom and
she said,
"Hey mom, could we make a gingerbread man?"
and her mom said, "Sure!"
and so they made this gingerbread man
then, to the little girl's surprise and delight,
the gingerbread man came to life and jumped out of the pan,
and onto the counter,
onto the floor,
and started running to the door, singing
"Run,run as fast as you can!
You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!"
ran out the door, crossed the yard,
the girl's running behind him,
running for the gate,
down the street,
yelling,
"Run,run as fast as you can!
You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!"
Well, he's a fast guy you know.
He's running down through town and the little girl is running after him.
Pretty soon, he gets so far ahead, that she can barely see him.
All she can hear are echoes,
"Run,run as fast as you can!
You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!"..
Pretty soon, he's gone.
The little girl, so sad, starts to walk back home
It took hours.
She gets to the middle of town, and decides to rest at the bakery.
She goes in and sees the display,
and there's this gingerbead man in the window..
She runs in and tells the clerk,
"That's MY gingerbread man there! Give him to me!"
and the clerk goes, "I've bought that! Today!
Someone has sold me that gingerbread man.
You have to give me 93 cents if you want that gingerbread man."
"No, you don't understand! I've made that gingerbread man! He ran away!", she proclaimed.
"Nope..93 cents", replied the clerk.
so she goes home to her piggy-bank and brings it back to the store
and pours out everything in her piggy-bank
counts it all up..93 cents.
The clerk takes her money and gives her the gingerbread man.
She clutches the gingerbread man,
walks out the door,
and says,
"Now you're twice mine!
First I made you,
and then I bought you!"
That's the story of our lives isn't it?! God made us, we ran away, he redeemed (bought) us via our Savior Jesus Christ! We're twice His, we're not our own. We're twice His! He's our creator and our redeemer! I remember a lot of times when I knew that God wanted me..being a little kid and laughing at anyone who "preaches" to me about anything "religious". All it takes is that leap of faith though, and once that leap is made, wonders happen within. Changes take place and priorities are not as they once were. You know what I'm talking about if you're a believer in Christ Jesus. Man, it's quite a voyage that I'm on! ..life is worth living!
Isn't it great how we can look at things from a new and refreshed perspective? Even some stories told to us as children can be viewed in God's light! To me, that's incredible. Seek Him and you shall find.. God bless you and have a great week!

Wow. I was trying to remember how the gingerbread story went. That is a great gospel illustration!
what a cool story, how amazing. doesn't it put you in a state of awe to think of God doing that. humans would throw a fit and scream if they had to pay for something they created - but not God. He's too cool....
Your post are always amazing.
God Bless You!!

"the redeemed have all their objective good in God. God Himself is the great good which they are brought to the possession and enjoyment of by redemption. He is the highest good, and the sum of all that good which Christ purchased. God is the inheritance of the saints; He is the portion of their souls. God is their wealth and treasure, their food, their life, their dwelling place, their ornament and diadem, and their everlasting honor and glory.
they have none in heaven but God; He is the great good which the redeemed are received to at death, and which they are to rise to at the end of the world. the Lord God, he is the light of the heavenly jerusalem; and is the ‘river of the water of life’ that runs, and the tree of life that grows, ‘in the midst of the paradise of God’.
the glorious excellencies and beauty of God will be what will forever entertain the minds of the saints, and the love of God will be their everlasting feast. the redeemed will indeed enjoy other things; they will enjoy the angels, and will enjoy one another: but that which they shall enjoy in the angels, or each other, or in anything else whatsoever, that will yield then delight and happiness, will be what will be seen of God in them." ~jonathan edwards
