  • Awake, sad heart, whom sorrow ever drowns;

    Take up thine eyes which feed on earth;

    Unfold thy forehead, gathered into frowns:

    Thy Saviour comes, and with Him mirth.

    Arise, sad heart, if thou dost not withstand,

    Christ’s Resurrection thine may be;

    Do not by hanging down break from the Hand,

    Which, as it riseth, raiseth thee.

    The Dawning

    I find myself to be obsessed with running.  I must be in order to meet the grand goal of finishing this route of slightly over 26 miles come October.   So this will be my third week of running 5x per week.  My feet are a little sore, but I can and must continue.   Ran 29.5 miles last week, and I'm working on ding 27.5 this week (including 3.5 miles in a few minutes from now).   Still visiting the gym 3x/week.  Drinking LOTS of protein shakes and taking BCAA supplements to curb muscle breakdown and enhance the recovery process.  They seem to be working..just not so well on my feet.  lol.   True, this will be my second marathon that I will be running in this life I'm in.  I plan on finishing it, and doing so with a smile!

  • Thankyou so much for sharing your testimony in my comments!  It was exactly what I was after - the Holy Spirit's drawing.  May the Lord bless you and yours

  • Wow, that is a lot of running. I have not stopped by to say hello in a long time. Thank you for the comments. I have become a little obsessed as well with working out. Losing a lot of weight and playing tennis. It feels really good.
    What marathon are you running. I wish you well. Soak your feet and have some tea!

  • Have a great weekend too.

  • That was a beautiful tidbit of poetry. Thanx for sharing. Good luck with all the training and I hope that marathon goes awesome!
