  • Because Thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips will praise Thee. So I will bless Thee as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Thy name.  My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth offers praises with joyful lips.

    Psalm 68:3-5

Hello.  I'm still around thank God!  I really think that God has been watching over me lately.  Last month, January 28th, was a special time for me.  You see, I had been involved in a five car/truck auto-accident on the freeway.  It all started with the state patrol stopping three lanes to escort another vehicle from one side of the freeway over to the other side (where there was a shoulder).  Long story short, I was fully stopped in one of the halted lanes when this truck rammed into me from behind at about 40 mph.   The impact totalled my van and caused both front airbags to deploy, and also spin my vehicle counter-clockwise facing traffic.  I was taken to the hospital with leg injuries.  The very next day, I discovered that I had a strained neck.

One month later, I sit here with my right leg almost completely healed (97-98% I would say).  My neck is fine now.  I have no back injuries.  I am so very thankful that I'm in this condition.  It could have easily been worse. The truck could have hit me smack in the center of my rear (instead of my right corner) and that would have pushed me into the state patrol car which was crossing my lane at the time the impact happened.  God knows that I would have sustained front end damage, with the possibility of serious injury to both the patrol officer and myself.

It all happened so fast.  One moment, I was diving about 50-55 mph in the center lane...next moment, I'm in a medic unit being transported to a nearby hospital.  Life is so short, and it can be shorter than we realize.  God has blessed me and is blessing me with His peace that is for certain.  God is good.  Boy is He!

  • I'm so glad you are ok!  Praise The Lord, He really does protect!  I was in a car accident with a semi truck last Spring and walked away with out a scratch or bruise!  I easily could have or should have been killed - except for God's hand of protection.

  • Keep me posted on your condition, brother. God bless.

  • And this whole time I figured you were just busy--probably out running somewhere. I had no idea that you had been in an accident and actually hurt. Glad to hear it wasn't any worse and you are doing much better only a month later! :)

One night at work I was thinking about how short life is and you never know when yours might come to an end. And I began to wonder what would happen if something suddenly happened to me to take my life from me. I know so many ppl that I keep in touch with through the internet and long distance phone calls, that my family and friends have heard of, but have no idea how to reach them. How would they find out what happened and who would contact them? I can't imagine anyone taking the time to go into my email account and sending out a message. No one knows my passwords and all my addresses are stored online. lol I guess they would just have to wonder. Some might eventually call my phone if they had the number, but by the time they called, that number might belong to someone else. For a world that is getting smaller with so much communication, it doesn't seem so small when tragedy strikes.

Good to hear from you! May you continue to heal quickly. God bless!!

  • I am really glad that your ok! We have had quite a time with auto accidents in our family too! I almost hit a deer, because of weather conditions my husband side swiped another guys truck who had slid off the road - my sister-in-law and her husband rolled their vehicle but thankfully were alright and my Dad smashed in our garage door when it was cold and his gears slipped. But through it all everyone was ok and that is what matters most!

  • Yes, thank you God for protecting you. I will pray for your protection and healing.

  • Hey,

I was just looking through some Christian blogrings and found your site. I just wanted to say hello! Have you ever thought about getting out on the mission field? I want to challenge you to be thinking about how and where God wants to use you this summer. Think about it, he might have you trekking through the jungles in Panama, or going hut to hut in Africa. How awesome would that be?!?!

If you want more information about how you can get involved you can check out our website http://www.globalexpeditions.com or you can call 1-800-434-7515 Ext 6862.

    God bless.

  • Happy Easter, bro!
